The third Yacht Support in the successful Yacht Support 53 series has been launched at the Damen Yachting build facility in Antalya, fully supported by our Dutch engineering and craftsmanship. This significant milestone of the journey to date of the third yacht from the 53-metre Yacht Support range. She has been launched ahead of her final build stage, final outfitting and sea trial will occur in the next few months and she is available for delivery in summer 2025. BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 was the very first YS53. Joining the Owner’s extensive fleet of vessels, it is the operational backbone and supports a programme that covers contemporary deep-sea fishing and scientific goals alike. FIVE OCEANS was the second YS53, purpose built for adventure, exploration and conservation.

The BOAT Design & Innovation Awards 2025 finalists have been revealed and we are delighted to see BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 taking centre stage for our portfolio in this prestigious event. The awards will take place during the 2024 Superyacht Design Festival in Kitzbühel, from 2-4 February, 2025, and the countdown has begun to see which of our industry's ground-breaking design projects will be taking home a Neptune. 

BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 has been named as a finalist in two categories. This 53-metre Yacht Support is up for an award for Outstanding Exterior Design as well as representing the Damen Yachting YS53 series as the first delivered from this all-new Yacht Support design. 

The Superyacht Design Festival, organised by Boat International, promises to be a spectacle of maritime magnificence, and we couldn't be prouder to have BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 represent our commitment to redefining the future of yacht design and providing solutions to meet a diverse range of yachting needs.

The delivery of YS 53, BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 is a fact. This 53-metre Yacht Support (175 ft) is the first of the YS 53 design series and has been handed over to her Owner.

She will now take on an ambitious ocean-going deep-sea fishing and conservation programme as part of the Owner’s BAD COMPANY fleet. 

The vessel's design and performance have been meticulously tailored to cater to the Owner's preferences. BAD COMPANY SUPPORT 175 will not only serve as fast support to the fleet, she will also operate as a main hub for Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean based activities providing a technical and functional base for equipment and dedicated programmes as well as long and short term onboard living and accommodation facilities for the Owner and his specialist crew.

Throughout the project, communication with the Owner's representative, Neil Emmott, has been open and transparent, ensuring effective collaboration and understanding of the Owner's specific requirements. Neil Emmott explains: “In pursuit of a lifelong dream, the Owner's involvement has been crucial in shaping the project, with enhancements based on his personal and very specific requests, such as accommodating a game boat, including a helicopter hangar, adding a custom jacuzzi, transforming the main deck lounge into a dedicated strategy meeting room, and integrating a Starlink antenna for improved connectivity.”

We are proud to announce the launch of the latest Yacht Support YS5302. This 53-metre Yacht Support, the second from the YS53 design series, took place in Antalya, Turkey, in the presence of her Owner who used this build milestone to officially unveil this Yacht Support's name, FIVE OCEANS.

Everyone present at the Damen Yachting build facility in Antalya were treated to a much anticipated first look at this Yacht Support's unique colour scheme: her striking sky-blue hull aligns with the ambitious and bold programme this support yacht will undertake and inspired by the Owner's dedication to preserving the marine environment and passion for motor racing. “You can sleep on it, fly off of it and move it. For us the Yacht Support is a platform that enables us to do all the incredible things we wanted to do,” Tommy Allen, Owner YS53 FIVE OCEANS. 

Rob Dolling, Founder & CEO at VERPEKA DOLLING Superyachts, the Monaco-based yacht sales and charter company, proudly assisted the Owner with the sale, project managed the build on the Owner’s side and will manage the vessel’s onward operation, commented, “This new, next generation Yacht Support platform is very well thought out and engineered, presenting the perfect platform for the ambitious global plans the Owner has for FIVE OCEANS. All our requests and changes, some admittedly quite elaborate, were always well received and seamlessly integrated with precision into the impressive end result.”

YS53 FIVE OCEANS incorporates two decades of successful Yacht Support experience, showcasing a deep understanding of high-end yacht operations, global adventure lifestyles, and outstanding technical solutions. Jan van Hogerwou, Commercial Executive at Damen Yachting, has worked with the Owner on this project since the outset. “We are proud to be launching this very special 53-metre Yacht Support today. Seeing her out in the open and ready for the final stages of her build before her delivery just a couple of months from now is the start of something truly exciting."
